An exhibition of photographs featuring the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina was held in the AA Photo Library:
New Orleans Then 061005131005
The exhibition documented a trip to New Orleans by Jesse Sabatier (Diploma Unit 3) in October 2005, following the ravages of flooding and wind damage. The trip was made in an attempt to document the state of the city once the water had subsided and before people returned to clean up and rebuild it. New Orleans with a previous population of 1.5 million, has become a ghost town, abandoned and unobserved.
